HUMANITARIAN AID AND MILITARY THREATS TO IRAQ

Early day motion 777, tabled 25 February 2003 by Llew Smith (Labour). Signed by 9 members.

That this House contrasts the contingency reserve of ú100 million which the Secretary of State for International Development has said is available for humanitarian emergencies and 'safe havens' in Iraq (24th February, Official Report, column 4), and which has to come out of existing budgets, with the ú1,750 million of extra taxpayers' money made available by the Chancellor to fight a war against Iraq; and concludes this Government's priorities are obscene.

Signatures by party: Labour 8, Liberal Democrat 1.
