COUNCIL TAX INCREASES IN WEST SUSSEX

Early day motion 1057, tabled 10 April 2003 by Peter Bottomley (Conservative). Signed by 2 members.

That this House deplores the decision of the Government to move funds from West Sussex to other councils, many in the Midlands and North; acknowledges the difficulty that this is causing West Sussex residents including the elderly who will receive a lower pensions increase than council tax increase; and calls on the Chancellor to give local people their money back.
