SOUTHEND ON SEA UNITARY AUTHORITY
Early day motion 1045, tabled 9 April 2003 by Sir David Amess (Conservative). Signed by 2 members.
That this House congratulates Southend on Sea Unitary Authority which provides excellent services at a relatively low council tax; compares this with Castle Point Borough Council which provides a poorer service at an average of ú400 per year more for a band D home; and calls on the Government to meet in full the additional employment costs faced by all schools in Essex this year.
