ASSASSINATION OF THE SERBIAN PRIME MINISTER, ZORAN DJINDJIC
Early day motion 876, tabled 12 March 2003 by Tony Lloyd (Labour). Signed by 56 members.
That this House is appalled at the assassination of the Serbian Prime Minister, Zoran Djindjic; recognises that he pursued his political ambitions for his country with great bravery both in opposition under the Milosevic regime and more recently as Prime Minister; notes that he was one of the Serbian politicians who tried consistently to move Serbia on a path towards Europe and to take its place amongst the European family of nations; and sends its condolences to his wife and family and to his fellow countrymen and women.
