NATIONAL NO SMOKING DAY

Early day motion 833, tabled 5 March 2003 by David Taylor (Labour/Co-operative). Signed by 56 members.

That this House congratulates and pledges its support to the million United Kingdom smokers who will try to stop smoking this No Smoking Day, 12th March; calls on users of the Palace of Westminster's bars, restaurants and corridors to support the Day; but laments the fact that smoke-free air is still not the norm within its precincts.

Signatures by party: Labour 29, Liberal Democrat 14, Labour/Co-operative 5, Conservative 3, Scottish National Party 2, UUP 2, Plaid Cymru 1.
