LONDON TO LIVERPOOL AIR LINK

Early day motion 1576, tabled 10 July 2003 by Robert Wareing (Labour). Signed by 21 members.

That this House whilst warmly congratulating Liverpool on its award of the European City of Culture for 2008, deplores the fact that it is without a direct air link with London, the only major UK city so neglected; and calls on the Government, in negotiation with major airlines, to ensure that there is established a regular and permanent air link between Liverpool and the capital as a matter of urgency.
