POST OFFICE SERVICES IN HENDON

Early day motion 1487, tabled 30 June 2003 by Andrew Dismore (Labour). Signed by 8 members.

That this House condemns the proposed closure of two post offices in Hendon; notes the failure of the Post Office to justify the proposed closures; is concerned that the notices of the proposed closures are world processed in identical form, indicating no consideration was given to the individual factors in each case; doubts whether the announced consultations will be conducted in a genuine way; and calls on the Post Office to withdraw these serious cuts in services which will impinge on all post office users in Hendon, especially pensioners and those with disabilities.
