CLOSURE OF POST OFFICE IN WEST KIRBY

Early day motion 1486, tabled 30 June 2003 by Stephen Hesford (Labour). Signed by 9 members.

That this House joins the residents of West Kirby in the Wirral West constituency in deploring the proposed closures of post offices in Village Road and Banks Road; and further deplores the sham consultation undertaken in relation to these said proposed closures and as revealed by Post Office Ltd's refusal to consider a counter-proposal concerning the reprovisioning of the Banks Road Post Office at the local newsagents.

Signatures by party: Labour 6, Liberal Democrat 2, DUP 1.
