NATIONAL UNION OF STUDENTS AND TUITION FEES

Early day motion 1470, tabled 24 June 2003 by Damian Green (Conservative). Signed by 43 members.

That this House notes the coincidence of views between policies of Her Majesty's Official Opposition and the National Union of Students in respect of not proceeding to introduce top-up fees and in abolishing the existing tuition fees; and calls on former presidents of the national union of students, including the Right honourable and honourable Members for Norwich South, Blackburn, Rochdale, Eastwood, Enfield, Southgate and Oldham East and Saddleworth, to support their union in resisting these fees.
