PEDESTRIAN FRIENDLY VEHICLES

Early day motion 62, tabled 2 July 2001 by Paul Flynn (Labour). Signed by 84 members.

That this House notes the European Safety Council's claim that 2,000 lives could be saved annually and 18,000 serious injuries avoided by more pedestrian-friendly car fronts; and urges the Government to renew their efforts to ban the macho fashion accessories of bull bars that concentrate and multiply the force of collisions at the level of a child's head and vital organs.
