NUCLEAR POWER
Early day motion 47, tabled 28 June 2001 by Michael Weir (Scottish National Party). Signed by 31 members.
That this House notes with concern the statements made by representatives of the nuclear power industry that extension of nuclear power can play a part in helping the UK to meet the targets set out in the Kyoto protocols; and believes that existing nuclear power stations should be decommissioned at the end of their economic or technological life and that no further nuclear power stations should be built.
