GOVERNMENT RESPONSE TO THE FOOT AND MOUTH CRISIS

Early day motion 32, tabled 26 June 2001 by Colin Breed (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 23 members.

That this House deplores the lack of any reference to the plight of rural communities in Her Majesty's Gracious Address; notes that many rural communities are still suffering the effects of foot and mouth; and therefore calls upon Her Majesty's Government to ensure that foot and mouth is controlled swiftly and efficiently, and that those businesses and communities affected are provided with adequate resources to ensure that real and rapid recovery is possible.

Signatures by party: Liberal Democrat 17, Scottish National Party 4, Plaid Cymru 2.
