RAILTRACK

Early day motion 28, tabled 22 June 2001 by Jeremy Corbyn (Labour). Signed by 65 members.

That this House is appalled at the recent golden handshake of ú1.4m to the former chair of Railtrack believing this to be an insult to the victims of rail accidents, long suffering passengers and ordinary workers on the system; and believes that this era of greed and incompetance should be brought to an end by taking Railtrack into public ownership.

Signatures by party: Labour 49, Labour/Co-operative 6, Liberal Democrat 6, Plaid Cymru 2, Scottish National Party 2.
