THE HONOURABLE MEMBER FOR GUILDFORD AND THE LIBERAL DEMOCRAT POSITION ON HOUSE BUILDING

Early day motion 340A1, tabled 2 November 2001 by Sue Doughty (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 28 members.

leave out from 'House' to end and insert 'notes that Surrey LGA and Guildford BC have consistently opposed extra housing on top of that identified in the SERPLAN proposal for homes in the South East; calls on the Government to review the proposal which would mean an extra 13,000 houses in Surrey with a risk that a large number of those houses would end up in Guildford;and emphasises that the honourable Member for Guildford and her Liberal Democrat colleagues have always prioritised the social and environmental concerns of residents and commuters in Surrey and will continue to fight, on behalf of those interests.'.

Signatures by party: Liberal Democrat 28.
