UNIVERSITY OF LONDON UNION'S LONDON'S WAITING FOR LONDON WEIGHTING CAMPAIGN

Early day motion 308, tabled 24 October 2001 by David Chaytor (Labour). Signed by 44 members.

That this House supports the University of London Union (ULU) in its campaigns on behalf of students in the Capital on issues such as education funding, accommodation and transport; notes that the additional costs associated with living and studying in London accentuate student hardship and can act as a barrier to some people entering higher education; congratulates ULU on its 'London's Waiting for London Weighting' campaign; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to ensure that the review of higher education funding results in adequate arrangements to recognise fully these additional costs to students.
