ARMED FORCES PENSION GROUP

Early day motion 244, tabled 16 October 2001 by Kerry Pollard (Labour). Signed by 156 members.

That this House notes that people who served in the armed forces during the years 1949 to 1975 were unable to join a pension scheme; further notes that those affected are facing reduced pensions as a result; recognises the debt owed to those who served their country in time of war and during peace time; and calls on Her Majesty's Government to take steps to compensate pensioners who are deprived of full pensions as a result of service in the armed forces.
