NUCLEAR ACCIDENT AT CHAPELCROSS NUCLEAR POWER STATION
Early day motion 177, tabled 18 July 2001 by Michael Weir (Scottish National Party). Signed by 13 members.
That this House notes the widespread concern throughout Scotland at the accident at the Chapelcross Nuclear Power Station; is extremely concerned that 12 fuel rods apparently remain unaccounted for and that there appear to have been attempts to cover up the incident; and calls upon the Government to carry out a full and independent inquiry into this potentially catastrophic accident.
