POLICE FIGURES (HAVERING)

Early day motion 598, tabled 17 December 2001 by Lord Cryer (Labour). Signed by 16 members.

That this House notes that, on 17th December, the honourable Member for Romford claimed that numbers of police officers in Havering are falling; further notes that, in a reply to a question from the honourable Member for Romford the Home Secretary revealed that there are now 334 officers in Havering compared to 326 in June 1997; and therefore calls on the honourable Member to withdraw his inaccurate claim.
