GM CROP CONTAMINATION

Early day motion 935, tabled 5 March 2002 by Geraint Davies (Labour). Signed by 46 members.

That this House believes that a seed cannot be classified as non-genetically modified unless the level of accidental GM contamination is less than that level which is currently technologically detectable, that is at most 0.1 per cent. instead of 1 per cent.; and further believes that separation distances between GM and non-GM crops should be increased accordingly.
