POLICE IN NORTHERN IRELAND

Early day motion 834, tabled 11 February 2002 by Lord Bannside (DUP). Signed by 9 members.

That this House recognises the chronic under-funding of the police in Northern Ireland; notes with concern the more than ú40 million deficit in the current financial year, which is likely to more than double in the next financial year; and calls upon the Secretary of State to immediately allocate sufficient resources that will allow the police to discharge their duty in an efficient manner.

Signatures by party: DUP 5, UUP 4.
