LEADER OF THE OPPOSITION AND THE NHS

Early day motion 782, tabled 1 February 2002 by Martin Salter (Labour). Signed by 35 members.

That this House notes that the Leader of the Opposition has called into question the standard of service provided by the NHS and its dedicated staff; congratulates the Sunday People newspaper for highlighting the Right honourable gentleman's refusal to say whether he uses the NHS or relies upon private medical insurance; and calls upon him to be open about his own health care arrangements; and demands he publicly recognises the hard work put in every day by NHS staff.

Signatures by party: Labour 32, Labour/Co-operative 2, Liberal Democrat 1.
