ETHICAL THREADS AND REMPLOY PRODUCTION OF GLASTONBURY T-SHIRTS

Early day motion 1115, tabled 11 April 2002 by Paul Holmes (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 40 members.

That this House congratulates the organisers of the Glastonbury Festival on their decision to sell thousands of T-shirts produced by the Ethical Threads clothing company, using the labour of Remploy, the UK's biggest employer of disabled workers, and using ethically sourced cotton from Bangladesh; and shares Ethical Threads' chief officer Geoff Martin's desire to see the whole of the merchandise industry applying clear ethical standards.
