FUNDING FOR CANCER SERVICES

Early day motion 1088, tabled 10 April 2002 by Ian Gibson (Labour). Signed by 63 members.

That this House is concerned by reports that extra money earmarked for cancer services in the NHS Plan is not reaching cancer networks; believes it is misleading to announce extra resources for public services without a mechanism to ensure that the money goes where it should; calls on the Government to take the necessary steps to ensure that money meant for cancer patients is not diverted elsewhere; and urges the NHS to repay money borrowed from cancer services to pay for other things.
