HUNTING VOTES AND SCOTTISH HONOURABLE MEMBERS

Early day motion 1034, tabled 19 March 2002 by Peter Duncan (Conservative). Signed by 17 members.

That this House notes that 32 honourable Members with constituencies in Scotland saw fit to express their view on hunting in England and Wales when the House divided on 18th March, despite each of them having personally voted for the passing of the Scotland Act 1998 which devolved responsibility for this policy in Scotland to the Scottish Parliament; and urges these members to abstain on future votes on hunting legislation brought forward.
