PPP CONSULTATION AND THE LABOUR PARTY
Early day motion 1007, tabled 14 March 2002 by Tom Brake (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 10 members.
That this House notes the comments by the Labour Party chairman that 'it would be perfectly appropriate for the (Labour) Party Conference to make the choice about the right way to fund the London Underground'; calls on the Labour Party chairman to conduct a poll of Labour Party members either by means of a postal ballot or through an emergency meeting to enable them to express their views on the funding arrangements; and further calls for this poll to be completed before the closing date of the PPP consultation.
Signatures by party: Liberal Democrat 7, Labour 3.
