REDUNDANCY PAY ú250 CAP

Early day motion 1368, tabled 22 May 2002 by David Crausby (Labour). Signed by 73 members.

That this House supports the Amicus AEEU campaign to lift the ú250 statutory cap on redundancy payment calculations; recognises that it is far too easy for multi-national companies to make British workers redundant rather than their counterparts in Europe; and urges the Government to lift the cap in order to properly compensate British employees and deter companies from making redundancies in the United Kingdom.
