LABOUR'S LONDON MAYORAL SELECTION PROCESS

Early day motion 1329, tabled 16 May 2002 by John McDonnell (Labour). Signed by 14 members.

That this House urges the National Executive Committee of the labour Party to allow Ken Livingstone back into the Labour Party in order that he may be considered for selection as Labour's candidate for the London mayoral election in 2004; and further to establish a fair selection procedure for the candidate selection so that London could retain the benefits of a progressive London mayor following a Labour victory in 2004.

Signatures by party: Labour 14.
