COMPOST HEAPS

Early day motion 1234, tabled 2 May 2002 by Jeremy Corbyn (Labour). Signed by 49 members.

That this House believes composting to be a good, effective and wholly natural way of dealing with organic waste; further believes that any attempt at licensing domestic heaps would be impracticable and unnecessary; commends those local authorities that have provided composting bins; and calls for the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs to publish free advice on how to make the best of compost heaps.
