RECLASSIFICATION OF CANNABIS

Early day motion 1661, tabled 18 July 2002 by Geraldine Smith (Labour). Signed by 24 members.

That this House notes that cannabis is an integral part of the misuse of drugs culture that pervades the United Kingdom and is often the first step on the road to hard drug addiction; and therefore expresses its concern at the Home Secretary's proposal to re-classify cannabis as a class C drug by July 2003.
