ACCESSIBLE EATING OUT IN ANGUS

Early day motion 1496, tabled 24 June 2002 by Michael Weir (Scottish National Party). Signed by 14 members.

That this House congratulates Margaret Chalmers on Montrose for producing Accessible Eating Out in Angus, a guide to accessibility of eating places in Angus for the physically disabled; notes that Margaret Chalmers produced the guide with the help of Capability Scotland and with a grant from the Millennium Commission, Give It A Go Awards; notes that the guide shows the wide range of facilities that are available but that more work is needed to ensure that all such premises are fully accessible; and believes that such guides should be readily available not only in Angus but in all other places in Scotland and the UK to assist both local residents and visitors and to encourage all businesses to make their premises fully accessible.
