DAMILOLA TAYLOR AND ABDI HAMZA

Early day motion 36, tabled 6 December 2000 by Jeremy Corbyn (Labour). Signed by 67 members.

That this House is appalled at the deaths of Damilola Taylor in Peckham and Abdi Hamza in Islington, both of whom were stabbed to death within yards of their own homes and whose young lives have been so cruelly taken; and hopes that those responsible are brought to justice and that the problems of violence and anti-social behaviour are urgently addressed in inner city communities.

Signatures by party: Labour 48, Liberal Democrat 10, Conservative 3, Labour/Co-operative 3, Plaid Cymru 2, UUP 1.
