That this House recalls the brilliant footballing career of Mr John Charles who was the youngest player ever to play for Wales, was never sent off and began his football career at Leeds United at the age of 15; notes that he was capped 38 times for Wales, was transferred for a then record sum to Juventus, and also played for Roma and Cardiff City and ended his career as player manager for Hereford United; and calls upon the Government to support calls made in the Welsh Assembly for him to be honoured for services to football.
