MONTEVETRO BUILDING

Early day motion 464, tabled 20 March 2001 by Martin Linton (Labour). Signed by 29 members.

That this House notes that it is now more than nine months since Lord Rogers' twenty-storey Montevetro building was occupied; regrets that Wandsworth Council and Taylor Woodrow Capital Developments have still failed to reach an agreement on the opening of the Thames pathway in front of the 'glass mountain' on Battersea's riverside; notes that the company is unlikely to be short of money as it is marketing penthouses in the building for ú4.5 million; and considers it high time the company and the council, and if necessary the architect, got together to allow the public access to the riverside path.

Signatures by party: Labour 27, Conservative 1, Labour/Co-operative 1.
