ALL-PARTY GROUP ON FIBROMYALGIA

That this House welcomes the launch of the all-party group on fibromyalgia; notes the incapacitating nature of this painful and multi-faceted syndrome; notes that its causes and treatments are still little-understood; urges the Medical Research Council to promote further research into the area; and urges the Department of Social Security to brief its doctors assessing eligibility for disability living allowance on how to recognise the syndrome.
