TELEPHONE ADVERTISEMENTS

Early day motion 433, tabled 13 March 2001 by Baroness Tonge (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 42 members.

That this House regrets the increasing clutter of advertisements in the street, particular the recent introduction of advertisements on telephone boxes; is concerned that such advertisements are not only an eyesore but also a threat to personal safety; and therefore calls upon Her Majesty's Government to give local planning authorities the power to control them.
