NATIONWIDE CONFERENCE FOOTBALL CLUBS AND PROMOTION PLACES

Early day motion 350, tabled 14 February 2001 by Tony Wright (Labour). Signed by 22 members.

That this House demands an end to the injustice of there being only one promotion place for Nationwide Conference football clubs into the Football League; believes that this stifles the development of these football clubs and deprives the Football League of successful teams; welcomes the support of the Sports Minister and the Football Association for moves to increase the number of promotion places; and calls upon the Football League to agree this change in time for the next season.
