CROSSTALK
Early day motion 107, tabled 29 November 1999 by Siobhain McDonagh (Labour). Signed by 24 members.
That this House is concerned to hear of plans by London News Network to axe the London political programme Crosstalk; believes that with the advent of a new Mayor and Assembly for the capital it is vital that the electorate is as informed as possible on the key political matters; and calls on London News Network and London Weekend Television to reconsider this decision, or, at the very least, give a firm commitment that any replacement for Crosstalk contains a majority element of political debate and discussion.
Signatures by party: Labour 15, Liberal Democrat 5, Conservative 2, Labour/Co-operative 2.
