QUARANTINE FOR RESCUE DOGS
Early day motion 47, tabled 17 November 1999 by Nick Palmer (Labour). Signed by 63 members.
That this House notes the appalling dilemma of relief organisations such as Rapid UK who wish to take rescue dogs to disaster areas but will have to put them in quarantine on their return; and urges that rescue dogs be exempt from quarantine rules in order that they may be used to save lives, with inoculations and passports used instead to prevent the import of rabies.
