CONSUMERS ASSOCIATION "TREATMENT NOTES" FOR PATIENTS

Early day motion 368, tabled 8 February 2000 by John Austin (Labour). Signed by 54 members.

That this House welcomes the launch of treatment notes produced for patients by the Consumers' Association, providing independent high-quality information about medicines and other treatments; supports this initiative, which is independent of government, the medical establishment and the pharmaceutical industry; and recognises the need for independent, high-quality and readily-accessible information so that patients are able to make well-informed choices and share decision-making with their doctors about the treatments they receive.
