RETIRED MINERS' CONCESSIONARY FUEL (No. 2)
Early day motion 213, tabled 16 December 1999 by Michael Clapham (Labour). Signed by 53 members.
That this House welcomes the intervention of the Minister for Energy and her recent talks with the mining unions to resolve the issue of concessionary fuel for former mineworkers and their widows, which will now be supplied from indigenous sources under the provision of the National Concessionary Fuel Agreement, contributing to retaining jobs in UK deep mines that supply the domestic market.
