FURTHER BARCLAYS BANK CLOSURES ON THE WIRRAL

Early day motion 553, tabled 21 March 2000 by Stephen Hesford (Labour). Signed by 24 members.

That this House notes with extreme displeasure the decision by Barclays Bank to once more spring on small Wirral communities, such as Irby, a round of bank closures without consultation and without any regard for local customers, in particular the elderly and businesses; and calls upon Barclays to review its decision immediately.

Signatures by party: Labour 22, Labour/Co-operative 1, Liberal Democrat 1.
