BANK CLOSURES IN PORTSMOUTH

Early day motion 548, tabled 17 March 2000 by Mike Hancock (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 25 members.

That this House deplores the decision of Lloyds Bank TSB to close its branch in the Southsea area of Portsmouth South, and to do so with notification of, but not consultation with, the local community or its representatives; and notes that this closure will cause considerable inconvenience to local people, especially those who have no access to private transport and restricted access to public transport.
