HOUSEBUILDING IN SUSSEX

Early day motion 505, tabled 9 March 2000 by Norman Baker (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 2 members.

That this House congratulates the Mid-Sussex Times and the West Sussex Gazette on their strong and effective campaign against the Crow Report and welcomes the fact that its recommendations have now been ditched; but believes that the housing allocation for the South East is still of an order that presents a major threat to increasingly scarce countryside in Sussex and places an unsustainable burden on the local infrastructure.

Signatures by party: Conservative 1, Liberal Democrat 1.
