INTERNATIONAL MAIL CENTRE LANGLEY

Early day motion 435, tabled 28 February 2000 by Mike Gapes (Labour/Co-operative). Signed by 20 members.

That this House deplores the decision of the Post Office Board to transfer its international mail operations from Mount Pleasant to a new centre at Langley; notes that the Post Office has ignored the widespread concerns of the existing workforce; and believes it has shown total contempt for the representations made by many honourable Members and a complete lack of concern for the employment impact of this move on workers living in East London.

Signatures by party: Labour 17, Liberal Democrat 2, Labour/Co-operative 1.
