NATIONAL MISSILE DEFENCE AND THE PARLIAMENTARY RECESS

Early day motion 1005, tabled 20 July 2000 by Ann Clwyd (Labour). Signed by 36 members.

That this House recognises the potentially crucial impact of the United States of America's Nuclear Missile Defence System upon nuclear arms proliferation, the security of the UK and world peace; believes, consequently, that no decision should be made with respect to support of the US Nuclear Missile Defence system during the parliamentary recess; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to recall Parliament should such a decision need to be taken.
