LEIGH RLFC PROMOTION TO SUPER LEAGUE

That this House supports the Leigh Centurions Rugby League Football Club in their application for a place in the Super League next year; notes with disappointment that this application was initially turned down at the Rugby Football League Council meeting; and calls on the Rugby Football League to re-examine Leigh's application in light of their excellent performances throughout the 1999-2000 season and the strength of support for the club with average crowds above some of their Super League counterparts.
