RECYCLING ARRANGEMENTS IN THE HOUSE OF COMMONS

Early day motion 218, tabled 20 January 1999 by Barry Gardiner (Labour). Signed by 58 members.

That this House regrets the excessive amounts of recyclable paper that is wastefully thrown away daily in the offices of its Members; recognises that the current systems of recycling in the Parliamentary buildings at Westminster are inefficient; and urges the House authorities to introduce an improved method of recycling for the offices of the House and its Members, including the allocation of individual recycling bins to each office to complement the existing rubbish bins.
