REGISTRATION OF RAPTORS

Early day motion 217, tabled 20 January 1999 by Barry Gardiner (Labour). Signed by 11 members.

That this House recognises the widespread interest that hawking and falconry have in the U.K.; notes that the British Hawking Association considers there is a need to protect raptors from careless ownership; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to develop a hawk and raptor ownership and licensing scheme which will protect the birds and establish their legitimate owners.
