ROYAL AUTOMOBILE CLUB

Early day motion 604, tabled 30 April 1999 by Alan Keen (Labour/Co-operative). Signed by 18 members.

That this House is of the opinion that, since the decision of the Royal Automobile Club to sell off the rescue and breakdown service and to ignore the 5.7 million members when deciding on the distribution of the sale proceeds, it is no longer fitting that the work 'Royal' should be used either by the business or especially by the club after the display of such greed and selfishness.

Signatures by party: Labour 15, Labour/Co-operative 2, Liberal Democrat 1.
