10p TAX RATE FOR PENSIONER SAVINGS INCOME

Early day motion 495, tabled 29 March 1999 by Paul Burstow (Liberal Democrat). Signed by 35 members.

That this House notes that the 10p tax rate announced by the Chancellor does not apply to the savings income of people of pensionable age; and calls on HM Government to extend the 10p rate to pensioners' savings to reward thrift and boost pensioner incomes.
